AS-100 Anti-Skid Test Unit

Test Box P/N AS-100

Purpose:

The AS-100 is designed to drive up to 6 aircraft anti-skid tach/generators and selectively monitor the speed of each drive unit. By stopping individual drive motors, a wheel can be simulated to aid in troubleshooting or complying with inspection requirements.

Notes:

The 4 wheel anti-skid system installed on the Falcon 10 & 50 and others requires the use of 4 Drive Motors with 4 PN AS-300-101 Axle Adapters.

The Messier-Bugatti anti-skid system installed on the Falcon 900 requires the use of the 6 Drive Motors with 4 PN AS-300-203 Axle Adapters, 2 P/N AS-300-204 Axle Adapters.

• Unlike other anti-skid systems, the Messier-Bugatti SPAD – SPeed Acquisition Device – uses the rotation of the nose wheels to set a rolling speed reference to adjust the main wheel braking effort.

• This very unusual technique provides specific advantages over 4-wheel systems, and also places additional maintenance and troubleshooting requirements on the technician servicing the unit.

• The AS-201 emphasizes the logical layout of the Maintenance Manual Diagram to encourage systematic troubleshooting of all voltage levels coming to the 2CG amplifier. The layout also notes several details from the aircraft wire diagrams and service bulletins.

• Applicable to Falcon 50 and 900 series aircraft.
  Note: not applicable to the EX Model Falcons
